Hiking Postira – Dol – Postira

This hiking tour will make you a true Brač connoisseur. Route starts in Postira where we follow kogule path, stone pebbles pavement that was used for important Dalmatian routes in the past. Kogule are a relic of times past that we can still experience today.
Walking through the narrow streets of Postira we will reach a 6th century monastery Mirja, set up between two important centres of the Adriatic: Diocletian's palace in Split and Imperial quarries in Škrip, which were the main sources of high quality constructional stone of Roman empire.
On our way we will pass through streets, local vineyards and olive groves ,gardens and orchards until we get to the part of our hike that follows the Put Procesije, a traditional pilgrimage path that has been walked for centuries at Great Friday.
Brač adventure staff strongly recommend wearing quality sports or mountain shoes, sportswear, sunscreen and a lot of water. The route is 12.5 kilometers long, and it takes about 3.5-4 hours to pass.
