Hiking is the best way to explore the National Park Paklenica. There are approximately 150 km of pathways all over the park, among which you can find touristic paths leading from Velika Paklenica canyon over the Matina cave, climbers' lodging site called Lugarnica to the highest peaks of Velebit. Routes are marked with tables and signs. We will plan the hiking route along with you, so duration and direction of the hike will depend on your fitness level.
Distance from start to finish: There are few different routes that vary from easy to advanced ones, depending on your fitness level.
Altitude distance from start to finish: Depending on the route selected.
Staff: All of our professional guides are registered at Croatian mountain rescue service. Staff members speak Croatian and English.
Fitness Level: A minimum level of fitness is required.
Previous experience: Not necessary.
Age: Minimum age is 8 years.
What to Bring: Footwear such as traisners or hiking shoes, a hat, sun cream, water.
Food and drinks: Light meal (sandwich and fruits) is provided but you can take food with you; make sure to take enough water.
Onsite Facilities: There are no toilet facilities available during the hiking trip.
Special Conditions: The operator has the right to cancel tours, without notice at their discretion depending on the weather conditions. All safety instructions from Adventure Dalmatia’s staff must be adhered to.
Number of people per day: Minimum of 2.
Availability: During the whole year. This trip runs if there are 2 or more people. E-mail us regarding dates and tell us the number of people in your group. We will inform you about the dates available.
